Helping retirees turn savings into confident, tax-efficient income.

Hi, I’m Paul Staib, Founder of Staib Financial Planning, LLC. I work with individuals and couples to reduce taxes, create reliable retirement income, and make smart decisions during the transition into retirement. My practice is built around helping retirees navigate complex tax and income decisions with clarity and confidence. Clients often tell me they value having a clear plan - and a trusted partner - as they navigate retirement.

Many clients come to me asking:

  • When should I claim Social Security?
  • How much can I safely spend each year?
  • How do I reduce taxes on my IRA and investments?
  • How do I stay on track when markets are volatile?

My role is to bring clarity to those decisions and help you enjoy retirement without constantly worrying about money.

What I specialize in:

  • Retirement income planning with guardrails. I help clients build flexible spending plans that adjust as markets change while protecting long-term security.
  • Tax-efficient planning. From Roth conversions to withdrawal strategies, I help reduce lifetime taxes and keep more of what you’ve earned.
  • Planning for the transition years. I guide clients through Social Security, Medicare, pensions, and investment transitions with confidence and clarity.

My ideal clients

I work best with individuals and couples who are within ~5 years of retirement or already retired, have built meaningful savings, and want clear, unbiased advice from a fiduciary — not product sales.

How I work

I’m a fee-only, fiduciary advisor, paid a flat, transparent fee — no commissions and no percentage-of-assets charges. I intentionally serve a limited number of clients so every family receives thoughtful, personal guidance. My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, organized, and in control, so you can spend more time enjoying retirement and less time worrying about finances.
